Wiltshire Lookup Requests / Mother of Sarah PINNEGAR, Wanborough
« on: Wednesday 20 June 07 04:47 BST (UK)  »
Sarah PINNEGAR was christened 17 May 1741, Wanborough. Father listed as John Pinnegar. Who was the mother of Sarah? Any suggestions who might be the wife of John Pinnegar, when and where they were married?

Thank you for your consideration of this request  :)

Hi Valda

I don't have a copy of the marriage certificate, just saw one years ago and wrote down selected info. I intend to order that certificate since I am serious about identifying my EVERITT ancestry.

Great pick up, though. I am anxious to find out what the occupation of the father of Hannah EVERITT is.

Thanks for keeping me in mind.

Worcestershire Lookup Requests / Re: Mary LAYLAND TAYLOR of Redmarley D'Abitot
« on: Sunday 29 April 07 04:20 BST (UK)  »
Hi John,

I saw that entry in the IGI also, but I wonder if someone assumed that Mary Layland (from Leigh) was the Mary LAYLAND that married John TAYLOR. I am skeptical of that connection.  I am hoping someone will find Mary LAYLAND in Lye where she says she is from.

Thank you for taking time to consider my problem.

Thank you, Sylviaann

There is a Samuel EVERITT in 1841 census, St. Mary Magdalene Bermondsey, 50 yrs (born abt 1791), wife "Leath", 45y (born abt 1796), children Thomas, Emma, Henry. In 1851 census, St. James Bermondsey, there is Samuel Everitt, 62y (born abt 1789 at Colchester, Essex) with wife Mary Ann, 42y (born about 1809) with children Emma and Henry.

I have wondered if this could be Hannah's family.

There is a Hannah ATHERTON listed in St. Mary Magdalene Bermondsey parish register, buried 1849, 25 years old.

What information is in a death certificate that might help me in determining Hannah's ancestry?

Thank you.

Requesting lookup in Rotherhithe for christening of Hannah EVERITT, father Samuel. Thank you.

If John BRAIN, born about 1782, lived at Cricklade  (according to the 1851 census) and not christened in the Cricklade parishes, he was probably christened in a neighboring parish, maybe the childhood home of his father or mother.

John was NOT baptized in the Purton parish. However, it is possible that James BRAIN, baptized 1778 in Purton, is his brother. Purton lies due south of Cricklade.

Requesting a christening lookup in Minety, due east of Cricklade, for the record of John BRAIN, about 1782.

THANK YOU.
