I have in my possession the Wilson family bible (from Scarborough only). If anyone thinks they might be related although the text is limited let me know and I will have a look.

Hi Cardiff Irish,

I have quite a few seabornes in my family tree. I have John Seaborne circa 1780 b. Kinnersley wife Mary. I only have one child of theirs William Seaborne circa 1801 b. Kinnersley. William then married Elizabeth Whiting in Almeley on 3rd June 1830.

They had several children including; John, William, Ann, Mary, Thomas, Elizabeth, Richard and Ellen. William born 1801 lived in Almeley once married until his death in 1885.

Ellen Seaborne was my gt gt grandmother.

I have noticed that there are clusters of Seabornes (and any other way it is spelt) in Almeley, St Margarets and Vowchurch amongst others. Have you managed to make a connection between them all?

Hello,

I found a great website recently http://www.mayoancestors.com/Default.aspx

You can find limited information on marriages, deaths & births without buying credits. I did buy some credits and I have managed to pin down the exact area where part of my family is from. The baptismal records list an address/village for the child.

Hope this helps,

Ray,

If you can upload the picture and I will have a look to see if I recognise the background. I have lived in Stockport all my life so you never know.

Hi Alf,

Sarah Hilditch died 1846 aged 35 in either Woolstanton or Burslem. The missing children are Eliza born 1834, Henry born 1838 and Hannah born 1840.

Her husband was Thomas Hilditch b. 1814 - who I have traced with his son William to Congleton & later Burnley. I dont know when Thomas and Sarah got married (still on with that one by i assume around 1833.

Thank you

Caroline

Hi Alf,

Please could you have a look to see if there are any people with the surname Hilditch. I have a Hilditch family living in Burslem on the 1841 census, however, the father appears to have then been widowed and 3 of his very young children disappear from future census records?

Any record of Hilditch deaths would be gratefully received.

Regards

Caroline

Hi Nel,

Not sure if this will be any help but I have a Thomas Hilditch born 1814 in Burslem, Staffs. No idea on brothers' and sisters' or parents for that matter. But Thomas Hilditch and Sarah Green could be his parents? a long shot but you never know.

My Thomas b.1814 married Sarah b.1811 (died 1846) they had numerous children (only one of which i can trace) and then he reappears in cheshire with his oldest son and is involved with his landlady! Whom which he had 2 children. I would be grateful to know if my Thomas fits in with your family.

Mayo / Lynskey/Durkan

I am looking for any information regarding Thomas Lynskey born County Mayo c1847. His marriage certificate indicates his father was Henry Lynskey, a farmer. Thomas married Mary Durkin/kan (from Killasser, Swinford, County Mayo - her father was Martin Durkin/kan) in Bradford, Yorkshire in 1867.

Thomas appears on the English census records in 1871 and indicates he is from County Mayo. He must have moved to England/be in transit between 1861 and 1871. His wife Mary moved to Bradford with her family from Mayo between 1861 and 1864.

If anyone has any information I will be very grateful.

Regards,

Caroline
