Hi  helsbels1' Don't despair.☺Things will work out for you in the end.
Edward Homewood was Baptized at Tunstall,Kent. 27 Oct 1831 the son of Edward and Elinor (Eleanor) Homewood of Ufton Court Sittingbourne. They had Married at Borden Kent in 1825 Ufton Court was a Farm with a large Farmhouse.
There were 2 more sons William and Charles and 2 Daughters Charlotte and Mary.  William died young after living in NZ before returning to Ufton Court.Edward and Elinor were well off and during the 1850's Balls were held at Ufton Court.
Most notable in the History of Tunstall Village was Charles .He served in the East Kent Yeomanry and was a great benefactor to Tunstall and surrounding Villages taking on the Farm and House on the death of his Father Edward in 1887. He presented 2 Bells to Tunstall Church and Built the Village Hall.
Unfortunately this Edward Homewood Died in 1832aged 0 and is Buried in Tunstall Churchyard.
Therefore  you can rule him and this Family out and narrow down your research.
                              Good Luck Rog.  :D ;D

ATRP Wardens were all Volunteers under the control of local councils.
There is a very interesting first hand account from a Local lass about her service as Arp Ambulance Driver.

Currently there are Attwood Families , farming on the Isle of Sheppey and also owning The Natural Burial Ground there and are involved in various other businesses including development. Probably connected to your family.

Hi Mike, The address on the Birth Cert is 5 Cecil Terrace not 15.
On the 1921 Census Frederick Butler and his wife Matilda are living there,(possibly Elsies Parents.)
It looks like by 1925 Henry and Elsie may be lodging with them.
When you have recovered you better get an eye test booked.  :) ;D

Hi Mike ,
I totally agree with Rosie99. :)
Having enlarged and examined the writing I am sure the Name on the Cert is Bartlett.  Just a very sloppy writer! Hope you are recovering well don't rush things and overdo it, take it easy.
Good Luck Roger.

Hi Mike, Could you please scan and post a photo of the Birth Certificate?

Maybe the word is unclear and our members may be able to decipher.

I would suggest the BC is a bad copy and it is that of Betty Bartlett .Born in the June qtr of 1924   Mother MN Butler

Bartlett    Betty   mmn  Butler   Eastry    2a   1805 (Deal is Eastry District.)
The dates fit in with Elizabeth Bartlett Poet.

I don't think Betty "Baireers "  ever existed except maybe in a registrars pen .

Look forward to reading your completed article.
