Hello ,  I have a birth from 1915 at Sturges Street Sheffield.  The registration district was Ecclesall Bierlow South.  Does anyone know where this street was or which other streets it was near ?  I have tried to find it on maps and online but I'm not having any luck so I assume it no longer exists.
Thank you,  Julie

Hello everyone,

The electoral register for Yorkshire in 1962 shows on the first page ..........
Register of elections in force 16/2/1961 to 15/2/1962.  Does this mean they were collecting the data from February 1961 to use in the 1962 register ?  I ask because my great grandmother who died in December of 1961 is showing in this 1962 electoral register.
Thanks and regards,
Julie

Hi, I don't know if this helps but there is a marriage record for a Epiphanius Spencer at St Peter and St Paul Sheffield West Yorkshire, on June 26th 1791. Epiphanius was a batchelor of the parish and married after banns to Sarah Hirst a spinster of the parish.  Witnesses to the marriage were Sarah Winter and Mark Mullnis (I think that is what is says but I can't be sure of it definitely being Mullnis). The record does not name the parents of Epiphanius or Sarah.

Hi everyone,

If someone died at Radnor Park Clydebank in 1917 and was Roman Catholic, which would be the most likely cemetery they would have been buried in ?

Thank you  :)

Hi, I think it's a long shot but I found these marriages for a William Thumbs....

William Thumbs married Melicent Sneath at St Mary Magdalene, Hucknall Torkard on 19/01/1819

William Thumbs married Sarah Tomlinson at St Michaels Linnby on 26/10/1829

Hope they help,

Hi Buffa,

In 1891 I had family living at 1, Palm Street.

The street still exists.  You can see it on google maps although it looks to be an industrial area now.
