Ethel died v20p58 Andover,Hants Jan 1991 age 79.
Birth Date 17/9/1911.
Alfred probable birth 2c304 Wallingford,Berks Jan-Mar Qtr 1907.
son-Peter birth 2c596 Andover,Hants Jul-Sep Qtr 1941.
not found any other children Whiteman/Bailey as parent.

Caleb Bailey (58),Jane (46),Dick (21),Alice (19),Clement (17),Kate (13),Percy (10),Harry (7),Violet (6) and Lenard (3) all living at Schofields,Bucklebury.
All born Chaddleworth,Berks except Lenard,Frilsham,Berks.
Residence is quoted as Private House,5 rooms.

checked Clifton's Bridge today,Cast in the concrete is the legend-CLIFTON'S BRIDGE erected by Holland County Council 1930, don't know origin of name yet

should be Brightwalton cos I have ancestors from here and next village Chaddleworth,the two villages often come up as Bright Waltham  & Chaddlesworth,annoying when you come from them

following on from last message,have spoken  to current owners of property on site of The Gate Inn and have said It was actually called "The Gate Hangs High" and was owned by Elgoods Brewery of Wisbech,Cambs.
The last hanging Pub sign is preserved along with some photos of the Inn at Elgoods Brewery Museum who also alledgely have some written records of same

The Gate Inn has been demolished and a 3 Bed detached house built on its site still called "The Gate".
It is on the corner of Inley Drove and New Fendyke Road,Wrights Fendyke Farm is the next property on opposite side of road.
Inley Drove Farm is abt a 100 yards down Inley Drove,Inley Drove cuts between New Fendyke Road & Old Fendyke Road.
See OS Map Landranger 131 for Boston & Spalding,OS ref 171380,a building is marked  but not named abt 300 yards from Leeds Bridge
