John was married and had a daughter but I don't think any of the family kept in touch with her after he died  :(

Hi Coutts84 if your grandad was called Frank then  yes we are related, my mum was your grandads sister and I was at your grandads funeral.

Wow this is great to hear from you,I actually didn't have much info on the family from Co Cork untill the good people here took the time to find out all the stuff in the previous posts.
The last time I was in the forum i must have forgotton to sign out and we have had computer problems so not had a chance to get back in the forum.

HI MO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INFORMATION THAT YOU HAVE FOUND OUT TOO,I REALLY AM VERY GRATEFUL TO THE KIND PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM FOR ALL THE HELP GIVEN .AS A THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR EFFORTS ,ON FRIDAY IAM GOING TO DONATE SOME MONEY TO OUR LOCAL CANCER RESEARCH .

JUST THOUGHT I WOULD LET PEOPLE KNOW THAT OUR LOCAL NEWSPAPER HAS GIVEN PEOPLE 20 FREE CREDITS TO SEARCH ON

unfortunatly I dont have much info ,only found out that my mother actually had an aunt Cissy about an hour ago ...lol .cissy's parents were John and Sarah Taggart (nee Aicken) originally from Glenarm Larn.Cissy had a sisters Annie and Margaret ,when Cissy was younger they lived in Pitt street Glasgow ,but she married and became a Wallace and had a son William ,only dates I have is that her sister Margaret was born in 1895.
