Hi Milly Perkins,
Good to hear from you. My first question is what was Buzz's Christian name?
My wife and I will be in Aukland in a few days time perhaps we could exchange information while we are out there. Our friends' email address is *

Yes, you are perfectly correct and they could be alive - apologies. I'll forget the descendants and settle for information on Walter during World War I and up to World War II.

Sorry the year of death of Walter Hills Nicholson is 1943 according to an article in The Times. But he started off in the Royal Fusiliers in which he was awarded the Military Cross. Then there is a long silence until 1943. I would like to know what happened in between.

Can anyone please help me find descendants of Walter Hills Nicholson MC of Wokingham (1892-1943). He served with the Royal Fusiliers in the First World War and was next heard of when, as a flight lieutenant in the RAF, he was killed on the 15th February 1945.

Thanks

Hi Folks,
The Wokingham History Group has issued eleven publications over the years all or most of which, together with other publications, are on sale in Wokingham Town Hall Information Bureau. A list of publications can be found in the website of the Wokingham Society (wokinghamsociety.org.uk) If you have any problems please let me know and I'll try to help.

Lt.-Col. Alastair Edward Hyde Villiers was the son of Lt.-Col. Charles Hyde Villiers and Lady Victoria Alexandrina Innes-Ker. He married Gaudencia Isabel Fraser-Luckie, daughter of E. G. Fraser-Luckie and Guadencia Iglesias.
His parents lived at Folly Court, Wokingham, Berkshire. Both are buried in the churchyard of St. Paul's on Reading Road. Lady Alexandrina was a god-daughter of Queen Victoria and direct cousin of Winston Churchill.

How's that for starters? Can you tell me anything else about him or any other members of his family?
