Warwickshire / Trying to find Dennis Trowman!
« on: Monday 07 February 11 20:43 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
Can anyone please help me? I have spent many hours trying to find Dennis Trowman. With out any luck.

My Aunts Uncle Herbert Trowman married a lady called Beatrice West 3rd Quarter 1918. They went on to
have a son called Dennis. My Aunt thinks he was born about 1920 -1925. Beatrice also had a son by her
first marriage called George West.
They all lived at 'Arandara' Alexandra Road, Halesowen, for many many years.
I do  not know if they even registered the birth of Dennis Trowman as I have been unable to find a birth
certificate or even a marraige certificate for Dennis.

Hoping some one may be able to solve my problem for me

Thank you for reading this.

Hi Malcolm,
Thank you so much for that information.
Unfortunately I do not know the regiment or
or Grandads army number.  I was told he emigrated
with my Aunt who was very young, due to my Grandma
getting very home sick they returned home when he
was demobed.
Regards,

Shirann.

Hi Gortonboy,

I am looking for the full address as I wish to ask a friend to go and take a photograph, that's if it is still standing.
I feel I need more than the address I have as I should imagine Pengam in now a
much larger place.

Thanks any way.

Ospray,
Thank you for that.
I take it that there was no other form of address other than Half-Way
House.
Thanks again.

Good evening folks,

Can any one please help me?
I have received a letter from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission
giving details of my great Uncle who was killed in the war in 1916.
The address given is Old Half-Way House, Pengam, Cardiff.
They have not given any other address than that, to me something else
is missing.
It seems my great uncle and his mother Sarah Hill was living at that address
before we went to war.

Hoping some kind person can point me in the right direction.
Thank you for taking time to read this.

H
I am trying to research my late father-in-laws side of the family.
His name was Henry Lionel Porter Born 1904.  In London.

He would never discuss his family other to say he had 2 brothers and 1 sister.

His father was  Edward James Porter. from London.  Born 1871

Mother was Emily Porter (nee Cain) from Plymouth.  Born 1874/5

Brothers Edward, born about 1895

William  born about 1899

and sister Ellen born about 1896. This information was obtained from a Census.

I would really love to hear from any one who has his brothers and sister in their family tree.

Hoping there is some one out there that can help me.

Thank you for reading.
