Hi Dale
I'm related to Kathy - I think our Ryan family is not the one your from. I was told that there were 2 Ryan Families in Fallin and that they were not related. My Mother Margaret Ryan was born there 1923 the youngest child of Mary Bonar and James Ryan. Hope this helps your search

Hi
My husband John Hind Warwick is the Great granson of Andrew Warwick from this area, not sure of any dates at present.

Mr & Mrs Andrew Warwick  of Norwood Cottage was presented with a marble clock (we have) in 1913 for his service as a gardener to Mr & Mrs Aitken.
Andrew had a son also John Hind Warwick, he married 3 times his son to his first wife Catherine Meiklejohn was named Andrew who was my husbands father.

John Hind Warwick MBE was a founder of Auchencruive Horticultural College Ayr and Andrew Warwick BEM my father in law was head Gardener at Culzean Castle also Ayrshire.

Hope this info is of interest I can try to find out dates if it helps.

In the old letter i have from a cousin it tells me that (I quote) "there was a Stasia Begley, perhaps this was Catherins daughter"

As a child i remember hearing family talking about Stasia Begley in America and that i had a cousin Stasia in America. My research started by trying to track down where my name Anastasia came from, besides my Aunt Stasia (Kathys grand mother) i new of no others. I know now that it is commonly used in Ireland and that it came from the Ryan side of the family. Molly and Anastasia going to the US to therir Gaurdian Anastasia Begly suggests that she must have been a relative.

Thank you to Shellyesq and Kathy for wonderful reseach x

Thank you so much for the information about Catherine Ryan. Where did you find this information? My Aunt Mary (Molly) Mulligan Ms Ryan died in Florida in the late 60s early 70s. Her sister Eleanor died in the UK in the late 80s I think?

Hi Mark
I am I believe your cousin Stasia (Anastasia), I am the daughter of your fathers sister Margaret. If I'm not mistakes you mother is named Olive and you are one of three children. I came to visit you once when we were children. Mum and I came with aunt Eleanor and her youngest child Edith. It would be great to catch up, I thought my Uncle Robert was a very hansom man and have a couple of photographs of him as a young man. I'm not sure about the family politics as i was born and grew up in the midlands visiting Fallin for holidays etc.

Mary was a teacher, she completed her education at St Augustines College  she taught for 30 years in Brooklyn. She married John Mulligan from Edinburgh. Molly as she was known was former vice-state Chairman of the Junior Daughters of America and was an active Girl Scout. Her sister Eleanor was with her in Florida where she died. She was survived by 2 daughters.

This obituary was i believe in the Stirling local paper.
