Carmarthenshire / College Training For Girls c.1950?
« on: Wednesday 24 July 13 23:15 BST (UK)  »
Hello,

Can someone tell me please where would have been the nearest place a girl living in Idole in 1946-1950 at 18-22 years would have received teachers training? Thought it could be Trinity University in Carmarthen but it appears girls were not allowed admittance there until 1957. TIA

Hi Morgan,

Yes I understand I will have to verify but what more would LDS CD have that would make it certain ??? Have never seen any of these files before.

Hi again,

I would be grateful to know if Griffith John or JONES is on the 1851 census in Merthry, age about 77. Or on the 1841 if he didn't make it that far. Thank you.

Regards,

Lynn

Morgan,

That is wonderful you have found my family back that far and so quickly! I knew about the John names becoming Jones etc. but didn't know the time frames. Really appreciate your input and knowledge.

Morgan,

Thank you very much :D. Do you know how I can try tracking in Wales who his mother and father were? Thanks again.

Hi,

Thanks Keyboard that is them. Could I ask if you could find Theo in 1841? Glad to see the broad moving Morganllan, couldn't have come at a better time! Llandefeilog it is and not Llanboidy.
