Thank you both so much for such a quick response. That is all great information. Do you know if there are any ways to find out his marriage or any children. My mother thinks he may have had two. (she is 93 and memory may be playing tricks ! )
Thanks once again

Canada / William Harvey BURNS
« on: Tuesday 17 December 13 03:21 GMT (UK)  »
I am currently looking for any info, no matter how small on a BURNS family originally from Beaverton, Thora, Ontario.
William Harvey Burns born 16th May 1907 to William George and Anna Christina. I am unable to find time of his marriage, death, if he had a family or any information at all.
He married a lady called Gladys Elizabeth ?
Any help most gratefully appreciated.

Kind regards

Monaghan / McCartney/ Clarke Marriage
« on: Saturday 15 September 12 20:31 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone help me please with the marriage of Thomas McCartney and Maggie (or Margaret ) Clarke which I think was between 1900 and 1902 in the Carrickmacross County Monaghan area.
Their ages would have been around 30 - 33 years.

Kind regards

Hi,
No, he is listed as living at 23 Cobden Street Gosport aged 53 years. Some records show him as being born in Coatham and some in Guisborough.
Thank you for your response Vimto.

In reply to your 2nd post that is the family. I do have all data from the census, it is really his death which has been a mystery for years. Thank you.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight / William Hutton Gosport area
« on: Tuesday 10 July 12 20:10 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone help please in helping me find the death of my Great Grandfather William Hutton who was born in Coatham, Yorkshire in 1831.
He spent most of his life in the Gosport area during his service in the Navy ( Record already obtained )
He married Sarah Ann Elizabeth Betteridge in 1879 & they lived together at least until the 1911 census recorded them in Cobden St.
The story has it that he was an alcholic & they parted due to his drinking.
Sarah lived until 1958 but the last known reference to him is the 1911 census.
Many thanks for reading this.
