Jane Black nee Falconer and William Black.
Married in 1837.

He was born in Dyke, and she was born in Auldearn.

He died sometime between 1851/1861, and she died in 1898 January, and her death said buried at the old Kinloss burial
ground.

Would anyone know where this burial ground is?

My great grandmother was Elizabeth Black one of their daughters and also Elspet, Jessie and Margaret, William and George.

Thanks - Faith

Hi - I am researching my family of  Macleans' that lived in Nairn. My great grandfather Alexander Maclean was a Master Carpenter and Builder and built a few properties in Nairn and especially the new free church, which unfortunately he went bankrupt over.
His wife was Elizabeth Black and they lived at Water Lane, Church Street and finally at Park Lane, Balblair Road Nairn. His business premises were at the back of the property (now owned by the Gordons').
Children were Jane (Teacher who was 20 on 1881 census) she married Alexander Fraser - Merchant lived at Merchants House Nairn - had one son Alexander who moved to South Shields and a daughter born in 1901. Hector Maclean worked for his father, James Maclean (my grandfather) was in the RAMC and had a solicitors business in Edinburgh, Alexander went into carpentry, John Anderson Maclean was first Minister at a church in South Shields, Donald went to India and died at the age of 22 - Mary, Margaret Alice, Elizabeth and Ann McQueen maclean.

I don't know if any of these might perhaps be a relative of yours. I am desperastely looking for photos of them all - Faith

Hi - I have an Alexander Fraser who married my Gt Aunt Jane (Maclean) also from Nairn, I think in 1886. He was married before, his wife died, they married at Nairn. He had one son by his first wife. at His profession was Merchant and address was Merchants House Nairn Road Croy. He had a foot amputation and then a leg sadly after he died. My great aunt lived until she was 72 in Croy. They had a son Alexander who moved to South Shields which I am desperately trying to find. Address for him was Sunniside Drive South Shields in 1936. - Faith
