   Hi Annemarie   ;D  ,

Thank you ever so much for all your very kind help. You and Bryant have been so wonderful. I will be sure to check the list to see if anyone else is searching this same line, that would be great.

Could you tell me where I could find the parish records ? Are they online ? I know this must sound like a silly question but I have never checked the parish records from over here and I can't , I am sorry to say get over there.
Thank you again for all your help.

Hi Annemarie,

Thank you so much for your reply, I really do appreciate this. I guess I was wishful thinking on this one. I am trying to find out who Samuels siblings were and thought the census might be my answer. I guess it's back to the drawing board on this one.

Best Regards,
Candi

Hi Bryant & Annemarie ,

First I would like to thank you for all your wonderful help in my quest for the Palmers. This has all been so very helpful and greatly appreciated.

Is there any chance we can see the 1821 census for Margaretting , Ingatestone , or Writtle. The reason I am asking is because I am looking for Samuels family. His dad was John Palmer and Mother was Rebecca. I am thinking they were still in Writtle at the time of the 1821 census. I am trying to find out who their other children might be. Then maybe I can research the family a little closer. Samuel was born in 1817 so I know he was still at home at that time with his other siblings. I have tried to find this census online but to no avail. Maybe I am just not looking in the right place.
Thank you again for your time and patience in this quest.
Have a great day and God Bless.
Candi    :)

Could SKS please do a lookup for me. I am looking for Samuel Palmer and his wife Mary ,  in 1851. They had a son named William.

I think they were probably in Margaretting. I am looking for the details in the census. Thank you ever so kindly.

Sincerely,
Cinnamon

Essex Completed Lookup Requests / Palmer Family - Essex

Good Evening Everyone , I am looking for any information on the Palmer family from the Essex area.

Here is what I know about them >

John Palmer   born about 1779    died 6-30-1856 in Writtle , England

His son was > Samuel Palmer born 1-19-1817 in Writtle , England . Died 1895 in England

Samuel was married to Mary Newman   3-14-1841 in Essex , England

Mary Newman was born > 4-12-1818  I think around Essex  and she passed away 11-14-1902 in England

They had the following children :
William B Palmer  born 11-16-1848 born in Margaretting
or Ingatestone

Mary   born : about 1843 in Margaretting

Elizabeth : 7-13-1844

Thomas born 1852   died : 1861

Samuel born : 1855 died 1861

John born 1860

I believe the family lived in Margaretting in 1861.

I know William came to the U.S in 1856 I think maybe through Canada with a George Houghton.

I know for a period of time they lived in Missouri and then went by wagon train to Oregon , where William was a brick and stone mason.

I am looking for any information you may have on this family. I thank you most kindly in advance for all your kind help. I will be very glad to share all that I have in return. My only wish is that I could come to Essex to see where they lived.

Happy New Year Everyone  :)  ,

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your most kind help. I appreciate this more than you know.

As for where they were in 1861 , I believe they were in Margaretting.

Geoff you stated >> " If you post the reference HO107/1775/228 sks may look up the full details for you? "   I am so new to the list that I am not sure how to do this , please explain. I feel so silly not knowing how to do this.

Again thank you everyone you are such kind souls. I know there is family still living in Essex , no doubt in Chelmsford , but I don't know who they are or how to contact them. Can anyone please give me an idea how I would go about doing this.

And most important, if I can help anyone in return from here in the U.S. please don't hesitate to ask. I will do my very best for you.

Sincerely,
Candi DeGrande
