Hi,
Yes I think I have him on 1901 and 1911 census. I was hoping someone might know the whereabouts of the missing years!

Hi,
I have discovered my Granddad was sent to St Kevin's Reformatory in 1904 as I know very little about him I  was desperate to find out if any records about him/his time there exist. I contacted the site and a very helpful lady told me they have records up till 1903 and suggested I contact the Dept of Education and ask for the records under the Freedom of Information Act. I did this and received a speedy reply telling me their records run from 1908!! so there is a gap of 5 years covering the time I need would anybody have any suggestions where I could try next?
Thanks

Wexford / Monageer RC Parish records
« on: Monday 03 November 14 12:19 GMT (UK)  »
Hello!
I was trying to find the Monageer RC Parish records online. I have discovered the very years I'm interested in seem to be missing, from March 1853 to October 1869. Does anybody know if they still exist??
Many Thanks!

Thanks!!
I have seen that and in the 1911 census there is a Peter Brien living at the next door address so Im guessing that's the same person.
Can I ask though which site did you search the birth registration on and how would I go about ordering it? The date would fit in with my Grandad

Hi
Thanks for the speedy reply!
I have my Grandad Peter's marriage cert as he married in 1919 in Newcastle Upon Tyne England, it is the first official document I have for him. He was aged 30 and his Father was recorded as John O'Brien deceased (General Labourer). That and being told he was born in Ferns is all I have really I don't even know my gt Grandad John's wifes name. That is why I was hoping there might be some Church records that might help!

Hi,
Working with very little info I am trying to trace my Dad's family tree. I was told my Grandfather Peter O'Brien was born in Ferns co Wexford I have found a Peter Brien in Clone 1901 and in 1911 which I believe is close to Ferns. I was hoping someone might be able to tell me what the Parish Church of Clone would be as I was hoping contacting the Parish Priest might be of some help???
Thanks Eileen

Hi David,
I was in touch with you before Xmas about St Michael's Church. I was wondering if this would be a good time to give you details of my enquiry or this still going to be difficult for you?
                Thanks Eileen
