Family History Beginners Board / Re: Australian Passenger Lists - searching question

Hi Peter,
Thank you so much for your helpful suggestions!
I did originally go to that website and I found the person's name listed along with the ship's name and date and some other related information but I was hoping to find a scan of the actual manifest. Honestly, being relatively new to this I had no idea if that was even a realistic expectation. However, another helpful poster linked to the actual manifest scans on the Family Search page - so I was able to see the actual manifest scans after all.
But your post caused me to take another look at the website. And, guess what? I found another person's passage I was looking for (same family)! So perhaps they may have added more information since I last checked? Or maybe I just varied my search a bit? Anyway, your post led me to it.
Plus, it's nice to hear an update from a person who has talked to the staff directly. I certainly understand their current limitations. Fingers crossed, they'll get more records online soon.
So thank you again for your note.
Best regards,
Brinda
