Yorkshire (West Riding) Completed Requests / Re: Yorkshire War Graves

Re John Heigold. He was married in 1938, and died 6 months after my wifes father was born in 1942.
The burning question we may never now find out was did John see his son before he died?

Looking forward to visiting the memorial at the weekend.
My Grandmother and Grandfather are buried in the same cemetery so quite a coincidence that my wifes Grandfather is in the same cemetery!!

Hi Englandphil
I am researching my family tree again after a few years and decided to concentrate on my wife's side. Her grandfather was John Heigold who you requested info about.
We have only just discovered his details, and are planning to visit the grave this weekend. We live in Guiseley so not far to walk. I found this thread just by googling 'John Heigold'
My wife, Carla's father, Robert, died a few years ago before we took an interest in family history, so we didn't know much about him.
My wife is really proud and pleased to have found out about her grandfather, and will feel proud to explain to our children this week about how he died when we visit the cemetry, and of course to take a photo
regards
Chris
