i do havw ancestors who came from ayrshire but i live in shotts, about 3o mins from glasgow.  so not far to travel for me!

i see you have a lot from ireland too, i didnt realise how lucky i was when i started doing this as i was just using scottish records!

Hi Sue,

I was just browsing and came across your posts.  I have recently started researching william skeffington and his family.  he is inmy family tree although i am not closely related.

i came across the marriage for 1835 which cpells his name as scoffiling and i would think it highly likely that this is the correct marriage

i am also thinking about going to the mitchell library soon to look at the OPRs and see what i can come up with

anyway if you want to reply to my post that would be great and maybe we could compare what info we have.
