Meath / Re: John Brown Burnell born 1782 Trim, Meath?

Thank you so much for this information. I haven't been on GenesReunited for many years so will definitely revisit. I think your idea of doing a quick tree of other Burnells is worth me pursuing too. It's possible John may have only been in Ireland for a short while and I hadn't thought of that option before. Interesting that Brown and Burnell are effectively the same name! I think I only have one record that uses both so this may be a red herring. Cheers, Lesley.

Thank you for taking the time to look up the Burnell family.  I will look into any possible links.

Meath / John Brown Burnell born 1782 Trim, Meath?
« on: Wednesday 10 March 21 17:59 GMT (UK)  »
My 4xGGrandfather moved from Ireland to Anglesey around 1840. I can't be sure he was born in Trim but a couple of his children state this as place of birth. Their mother was called Mary, I have no surname. Has anyone got any connections to this family please? Catherine Jane Burnell 1836 and Ann Maria Burnell 1838 are two of the children who state place of birth as Trim in UK census. Thanks for reading.

Thank you for all replies. I haven't looked at this branch for a while. I have Patrick as her Dad, but unsourced, and yes she was Catholic. I may send for the certificate at some point, but would like to find out if the Kildare records are accessible or not first, as the certificate will only give me the father's name and occupation. I've not researched in Ireland before so any pointers for these records would be much appreciated.

Kildare / Ann Bulkeley born c.1825 Kildare

Hi, if anyone has access to records for Kildare or connection to Ann who married John Wise (Cheshire 1848) I would appreciate any help. Ann's Dad was possibly called Patrick but otherwise a brick wall.

Thank you very much Claire, that's a huge help!

I'm fairly sure I'm on the right track now.

If it's not too much trouble, can you possibly find siblings or a marriage record for James/Rachel?

No worries, if not, really grateful for the info.

Cheers

Lesley

I'm looking for confirmation that a transcribed record is correct, if anyone can access the original image or record please. It's 8 Mar 1818 baptism of Mary Ann Jones, parents James and Rachel at Hubberston. I think the church there is St. David's. Many thanks for any help given.
