The Lighter Side / Re: BBC TV "WDYTYA?" Series 10 Episode 9 John Barnes
« on: Friday 19 October 12 21:18 BST (UK)  »
WDYTYA is getting so boring.

It was more like a Stephen Hill documentary than the John Barnes Family Tree.
I can't remember seeing a family tree symbol, once during the entire programme.

Absolute rubbish. If the rest are like this, I won't be watching anymore.

The Lighter Side / Re: BBC TV "WDYTYA?" Series 10 Episode 8 Celia Imrie

I couldn't agree more.

I always thought it was all about tracing the family tree, the methods of finding them, and the outcome. But on this episode, it homed in on one person, I think it was Celia's Gt.Gt.Gt.Gt.Gt.Gt.Gt.Gt. Grandmother, and never moved from her all night.

Really boring!!  ???

Warwickshire / Re: Marriage of Joseph Busby and Fanny
« on: Saturday 06 October 12 20:44 BST (UK)  »
I have found on the Family Search site, a marriage between Joseph Busbey and Hannah Willey, at Corley, Warwickshire, England, on 26th January 1791.

I wonder if Fanny could be a derivative of Hannah.

Have you looked on the Windows on Warwickshire site. They have a wealth of old photographs from around the Warwickshire area.

I can't promise that what you are looking for will be there, but it's worth a try.

Warwickshire Lookup Requests / Re: marriage look-up request Please Warwickshire
« on: Thursday 04 October 12 15:15 BST (UK)  »
Hi Jill
I know I'm only 7 years late for the look up you enquired about, but that is not the reason I am contacting you. I am a newcomer to Roots Chat, although I have been doing genealogy for many years now.
I saw in your look up that you were making enquiries about an Edward Neal b. 1864 Knightcote, Warwickshire, England. He is/was my wifes grandfather. My wife's father, John Neal b. 01 July 1910 Knightcote, Warwickshire, England, was the tenth child out of 14 children born to Edward and his third wife Elizabeth Frances Busby b. 1876 Wardington, Oxfordshire, England.

The reason I am contacting you is, how are you related to Edward ? Please excuse the enquiry but I saw that you come from Canada, and there is a story/myth in the Neal family that one of the sons of Edward and Elizabeth emigrated to Canada, and was never heard from again.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Very best wishes
Graham
