Staffordshire Lookup Requests / Re: 1860 Marriage lookup, St.James, Longton
« on: Tuesday 13 February 07 17:52 GMT (UK)  »
Thanks for your trouble, Mari.   At present I've no idea what the link with Staffordshire was, nor how it came about.   I've not found any other family there, prior to this.   I was hoping that someone might have the church records, so that I can follow up any leads to see if I can make definite links.   The Staffordshire website will certainly help, I presume, with Elizabeth's family, once I'm sure she's not a red herring!

Thanks again for your help.   Good luck with your own research.

Regards, Val.

Please could anyone who has access to death records see if they can find any information about the death of Joseph Catherall, June Q 1872?   I would like to know where he is buried, and anything else available.

Thankyou.   Val.

Durham Lookup Requests / Joseph Catherall, collier, death 1872.

Please can anyone tell me if there were any mining disasters in Durham in 1872?

The above named collier died, aged 31, and I'm wondering if his death was work related.

Thanks, Val.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Re: Marriage - Manchester church records lookup

Hi Maria,

Thank you very much for that information.   The marriage on 21.4.1822 was James's to his first wife.   The suggestions for Beaumont parents will perhaps link up with my family at some future date.

I appreciate your help, and thanks again for your time.

Regards, Val.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Marriage - Manchester church records lookup

Is there anyone with access to Manchester church records who could look up the marriage between Mary Beaumont and James Shackleton, please?   I think it took place in the Sept.Q 1854, and James Shackleton was living  in the Hulme district at the time, and was a widower.

I'm interested in who Mary Beaumont's father was, and who signed the register, to see it there's a link to my family.

Any help will be much appreciated.   Thank you.   Val.

Yes, I think he is the one with William in 1841, but the one with Emma in 1851 has been ruled out from my tree after further research.   Thanks again.   Val.
