Casalguidi,

Thanks again.  I tried the modify button but it just tells me that the topic is locked.

The topic is under Emigrants to the US/US Lookup Offers the topic name is LOOKUP OFFER for US Census Records.

Thanks again!

Megan

Thanks for the reply.

Is there a way I can edit what I wrote in my post or should I worry about that at all?  I'm just worried that people see how old it is now and wonder if I am still doing it or not.

Thanks again!

Megan

Family History Beginners Board / Reviving/Restarting Old Topic

I had posted a topic (I think it was last year) about doing Look Ups for people in the USA.  The topic is still there though now it is locked.

I got away from genealogy for a few months but I am back now and really getting into again so I thought I would pick up again on taking requests.  Can I start a new topic or is there a way to revive my old topic and revise it?

Thanks for the help!

Megan

« on: Wednesday 29 September 04 07:13 BST (UK)  »
I have found the Ancestry site to be VERY helpful.  I only subscribed to the US Federal Censuses and it has been a WORLD of help for me.  Am now looking into getting the US Records Collection as well.

As for Cancelations here is the info from the Terms and Conditions section...

Hi Megan
I am looking for peter, paul o'brien born 1860's ireland emigrated to the U.S mid 1880's his wife margaret o'brien
and possibliy one child catherine or bridget o'brien.
they returned to england in 1891/2 and settled in lancashire near liverpool. they had two daughters whilst in the u.s. mary born state ? 1889 and margaret born state ? in 1891
possible state was nebraska.

eberg,

I am sorry to inform you but almost all of the 1890 US Federal Census was destroyed.  There are only some 6000 names left from the entire Census and I found no O'Brien's listed.  As for Peters or Pauls, again nothing that fit your relative.  Sorry and good luck.

Freeb any idea of what Joseph's middle name was?  No Wallis or Wallace listed in the census that fits the age of yours.  Perhaps he used his middle name?

Southlands23

I looked through the indexing for what Ancestry has done for 1900 in and around Iowa state.  So far no matches, but Ancestry.com has just started making avalible the indexing for 1900 so I will keep checking for you, I am sure they are around in there somewhere.
