As you have his wifes surname and year of marriage you can search freebmd (free of charge) using just the 2 surnames and it should list any children.

You may need to purchase his death certificate to see if that gives any clues as to his wife. 

What does the C stand for as neither his birth registration or death registration give a middle name, neither does the book of remembrance

Apparently Thomas Chesters Lamb's birthday was the 22nd September 1921

His parents were John & Ethel (nee Longstaff)

They had twins in 1921 but no middle name for Thomas
