Hi Wendy

Yes, I would be very interested to swap info. I have also been trying to find a connection, because I feel there has to be one. All my records are in storage with the rest of my stuff at the moment, but I do remember that there seems to be 'overlapping' information with my Lycetts and Rugeley.

Use my normal email address, its easier:  sorcaress@mediamagic.com.au

What gen program do you use?  I am using Legacy 6.0 (the free version at the moment).  If I can work out how to do it, I could email the file to you. There are lots of gaps that have to be filled in, but somewhere, maybe on one of the children it has to cross.

I am back to 1798, Thomas Lycett and Phoebe (yet to be verified) and I think it may be from there somewhere that the Rugeley bit starts. I dont know his brothers as yet. What do you have on when the first Lycett's were in Rugeley - any dates? Who were your man's brothers and sisters, and parents? (mother's name as there are so many Thomas's!)

I have soooo much to go through, it will take a while to sort it all out! lol...

I am also finding it a challenge to find a living Lycett relative, but they have to be somewhere. My parents are not interested and have no idea about the rest of the 'family'.

Where are you living?  I am in Australia but English born (Wolverhampton).  I may be over there next year for a quick visit, it would be good to catch up if that is possible for both of us.

Regards
Lin

Hi

I am interested in tracking LYCETT. My father, and along his line were from West Bromwich. But somewhere along the line, Rugeley seems to have cropped up, and somehow its got muddled in or is connected with my Lycett's.  I have just learned that my great grandfather Thomas Lycett (his wife was Clara) was a Romany Gypsy and am interested in pursuing this. Can you shed any light at all or give me any pointers? I do not know if it goes back any further as yet, though I have reached to 1798 so far. Am interested in learning more about the Rugeley Lycetts as they are probably connected to me.

Any info would be very gratefully received.
Many thanks

Linda Culshaw
