Just getting started in Forrest/Forest family in Lanarkshire and Kincardineshire.  Anyone have any ideas on the family of Robert Forrest b. ca 1730 m. ca 1758 Margaret Porteous ???  Was John Forrest, merchant of Bervie, Scotland and b. 1759 their son??  This John Forrest had the first linen-yarn mill in 1790 in Kincardineshire.  Anyone got any y-DNA results to help separate the several Forrest families? any wills/testaments??/sasines??
