I've been researching for 10 years and I'd never heard of Genealogy Specialists until now. It looks a lot of fun.

Technical Help / Re: laptop keyboard
« on: Friday 31 October 25 14:13 GMT (UK)  »
I have had laptops for years and always use a wireless mouse. I'm not comfortable using a trackpad however often I try.
On either side of the trackpad the laptop casing can be the surface on which to move the mouse around, which is what I am doing now, you don't need a separate surface if working in tight situations.
The ideal is to use the trackpad of course but using a mouse beats throwing the laptop at the wall!  ;D

I quite agree I find using wireless mouse much easier and SPELK it doesnt disable trackpad. one disadvantage with mouse is when battery goes  I can at least use trackpad to move cursor to turn off ;D

Ancestral Family Tree DNA Testing / Re: None of my DNA matches have ever contacted me
« on: Sunday 28 September 25 16:18 BST (UK)  »
now you mention it I dont recall anyone contacting me, not everyone I have contacted answers, I  did wonder if with my tree I have mixed mine and hubbies and its under my maiden name although I do get more answers from his side than mine. so many people dont make trees or if they do put some names they only put births and of course ancestry put them as living so no names to view. Still have made a few connections.
