Please if someone is going to Essex Record Office could you do a lookup in an index to the Lambourne Parish registers (baptisms and marriages) for the surname Toudup, also spelled Tootup, Tuddip and similar, between 1780 and 1810. The ERO reference is T/R 212/3. The Lambourne parish register may be very patchy between 1780 and 1800; I'm not sure how much of it has survived. I've found some of the family in Romford and Chigwell around 1800 and my 3X greatgrandmother Sophia was born in Romford in 1804. and moved to the parish of St Botolph Aldgate, Middlesex where she married James Barker in 1823. A few days ago I found Thomas (born 1761) and Elizabeth Toudup in the NBI for Lambourne for 1832. I already know that this Thomas (born 1761) was born in St George in the East, Middlesex to Thomas Toudup and Elizabeth Crissup but I'm not sure how Thomas is related to Sophia who was born in Romford in 1804. I'm hoping that more family members will be found in Lambourne and that I can link the family that was living in St George in the East in 1761 to the family in Romford in 1804. Hope this makes sense!! Toudup is a very uncommon name and they're all related but making the connections is not easy.
many thanks
