Hi Reggie1

Thanks for your interest.  I have done a lot of work on this family since my original post.  Happy to share/compare my findings with you.

Currently I'm working on DAWBIN.  Do you also have that family connection?

Cheers

It's great to have those names and dates.  Nice to see that the name "Viola"  has persisted - The name of the Campbells' emmigration ship!

Kent Lookup Requests / Re: TYLER in Lenham 1700s

Thanks Bearcat

The marriage for Anne is William's eldest.  A good start.

The will looks like a good bet for the Charles that I am chasing.  Thanks particularly for teaching me how to access Kent wills.  Excellent!!

Thanks BettyofKent
I figure Charles was born mid 1690s and William's youngest was born abt 1783 so I can't connect with your dates.  I have no mention of a Charles jnr or Thomas or George as yet but I'll keep them handy just in case.
I'll PM about the christenings.  Great work!

Kent Lookup Requests / TYLER in Lenham 1700s
« on: Friday 23 April 10 03:46 BST (UK)  »
G'day

I have Charles and Mary TYLER's children born from 1720's and William and Sylvester TYLER's children born 1760's onward.

Can anyone shed light on these familes?
Is William the son of Charles?
Where is Charles from?
Anything about TYLER in Lenham before 1838 gratefully received.

Thanks for you attention

Thank you ALL so much for your help.  I'm starting to see a pattern emerging.

Hopefully with a certificate or two I'll learn who Jemima was.

Thanks again

Thanks for that Jonquill.

Perhaps Ellen Maria died before 1881.  Or there are two Augustus. One b.1834 and one born 1844.

Anyway it gives me something to work with and I appreciate your help.

Could someone please help me find Augustus William MERRILL in 1871
Apparently born 1844 London MDX.  Wife Jemima born 1843 Cambridgeshire.

1861 living London Middlesex

1881 living Wolverhampton, Stafford, England. Compositor (Printer) [sp Merrall]

Both fathers William
Both Mothers Mary

I am particularly interested in any info on Jemima and possible children.

Thanks for your attention

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Re: HARROD 1951 Census
« on: Friday 29 May 09 02:07 BST (UK)  »
G'day Shaun and Pels

Sadly I must concur.  It does look like Essex (also Erith).
In 1861 he's from somewhere in Essex.
In 1881 he's from Leadon Essex (Lexden?)

Charles is Charles Henry of HARRODS
Elizabeth is the one I'm trying to back track.  I have circumstantial evidence that her name was DIGBY.  Now an Ann DIGBY (unk age) shows up as their servant  in 1841. Thanks for that.

It seems that she died before 1861 so I may never find her marriage.

Cheers

Thanks for your efforts Shaun.

Now I can try and find the marriage.  An elusive couple.
