Suffolk / Non-conformists in Mildenhall & Surrounding Area
« on: Sunday 26 November 06 16:33 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
Does anyone have any access to these records?
I've found that several branches of my family were either Methodists or Baptists in the Mildenhall area around the late 18th/early 19th century, ending up in Isleham, where there were several large congregations.

Specifically I'm looking for William Sparke, born c.1777,
and any children or siblings. Unfortunately I don't know which church they attended.

Any help or suggestions appreciated!

I have just found that my great, great, great grandfather, William Sparke, was from Barton Parva.
I think he was born c.1777.Does his baptism appear in the parish records? I know the family were non-conformists in later generations but they may have still been Anglicans at the time of his birth.
It is possible his parents were William and Frances, but I'm not sure about that.
Any info would be welcome.
Thanks,
Lizdee.

Suffolk Lookup Requests / Mildenhall Births/Christenings 1750- 1830 ish
« on: Thursday 16 November 06 17:28 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for children of William and Honour Sparke (formerly Fuller), who married in Mildenhall in 1801.
Also if Honor was born/baptised in mildenhall I would love to know parents or siblings if possible. I realise this is a lot to ask, so any bit of it would be great!

That's brilliant!I had guessed her name might be Fuller as one of their sons has Fuller as a middle name. Thanks very much for your help.

Cambridgeshire Lookup Requests / SPARKE Family in Snailwell, 1820's
« on: Monday 13 November 06 20:48 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for any record of William and Honor Sparke. I know they lived in Snailwell around the 1820's as some of their children were born there, before they moved to Isleham. They may have been non-conformists as the family produced a baptist minister and also had strong links with the Isleham Primitive Methodists. Honor Spark was born in Mildenhall.

If anyone has Snailwell Parish records and could help, or knows anything about non-conformists from there, I would be grateful.

Cambridgeshire Lookup Requests / TAYLOR Family in Haddenham
« on: Monday 13 November 06 20:22 GMT (UK)  »
I'm looking for any information about the Taylor family , starting with John Houghton (or Hooton) Taylor, born in 1796 in Haddenham. I think his parents were John and Mary, but would love to know more such as occupation, mother's maiden name etc, and any other siblings. I'm fairly new to family history and John H Taylor was my great, great, great grandfather. I know lots about all his descendants but I have very little on where he came from.
