Thank you very much, this was a reply to one of my students on Saturdays course.  I will pass on the info and ask them to create their own user name and log in.

Cheers

Thanks all, it did go really well - I have now had chance to have a coffee and reflect.

Hopefully all my students will sign up with their own user names and passwords.

Census Lookup and Resource Requests / Re: FH course 1881 census Jessie Eleanor Gravatt

I am so grateful.  Thank you for working so hard for me.  It's interesting to find out all this.  Now I have to digest it.
I have been told by an archivist a long time ago that Gravatt used to be spelt Gravarr and was a Huganot name found in the Huganot chapel in Salisbury Cathedral

Thanks for all your help  :-* sorry Margaret has been so difficult. Looking at the fact that Sarah Jane was a stepdaughter to William, it could be that Margaret had been married before - she was 29 when she married William, which seems old.  So Johnson could actually be her 1st married name.  Am I right in thinking I can only find that out from the marriage certificate?

Thanks for all information.

Sounds that person I'm looking for.  Is it possible to go pack to previous censuses.

Thanks

Margaret.
