Kent Completed Lookup Requests / Re: 1861-1871 WOOLWICH census surname COUSINS
« on: Tuesday 20 December 05 09:57 GMT (UK)  »
Thank you Jocelyn and  Pauline, Henry was present at the 1871 wedding as he made his mark.

Some of your information is new to me Jocelyn; I didn't have Alexander's death date. Now I have to find where he's buried and see if I can get out of this dead-end by that means.  How many cemeteries would there have been for Presbyterians in West Ham?

Kent Completed Lookup Requests / 1861-1871 WOOLWICH census surname COUSINS

I'm looking at the marriage entry for my great grandfather, married 1871 at the Woolwich Presbyterian Church on New Road, Woolwich. I cannot figure where he and his father lived, though.

Could someone please look up for me the names Alexander Young Cousins (b. 1841) and Henry Cousins (b. circa 1815)? I feel they must have lived near-by...

On the certificate Alexander's occupation is 'seaman' and Henry's 'gardener'.

Thank you very much.

Mark.

Sussex Lookup Requests / 1851 Battle look up pse - HOLLANDS
« on: Monday 10 January 05 20:20 GMT (UK)  »
Hi, I am hoping to find  George HOLLANDS on the 1851 census. He was born either 1847 or 1849 in Battle.

His father is listed on George's death cert as Richard Hollands.

George lived most of his life, and died, in Tunbridge Wells. He is listed on the 1881 and 91 census there. I am hoping to find where he lived prior to those dates and who his parents etc are.

thank you,

Mark Cousins

Fife / Re: Alexander Young Cousins b.1841

No, I don't know of any other family for Alexander. I found him in 1881 census in London, then 1891.

His place of birth is listed only as Scotland...

Thanks for you help so-far Cheryle.

Fife / Alexander Young Cousins b.1841

I'm told the Cousins name is relatively abundant in Fife. I've had real problems finding where in Scotland my gggrandfather was born.  Does his name ring a bell for any Cousins in Fife?

Thank you,

Mark C

Hi againl, I've just searched for Ingal Street, but the only one I can find is in Plaistow, not Bethnal Green.

Plaistow makes sense, as that's where they're from, but am I confused over where Bethnal Green is?
