Hi Shirley,
I wouldn't say I am after anything in particular however if you come across Ulbrich or Ulbrick you can bet it is my relative. Johns father Nicolai was prominent at Williamstown and Johns brother Frederick went to the Boer War. A war correspondent from the Argus went with him, I have never been to the Library to do a search yet so that would be great. They were all teachers.
I really appreciate your time.

Cheers,
Matt

Hi Guys,
I have received some good information.
Nicolai's father was called Johann Frederich Ulbrich.
It seems a Johann Frederich Ulbrich(t) came too South Australia in 1844 on board the George Washington.
It seems he was traveling with his wife and two daughters. I am wondering if I could find out if Johann's wife's name is Anna Caroline Sophia Collenborg than I might have an Australian arrival for Nicolai's parents. This arrival is six years before Nicolai arrived in Maelbourne however during this time Nicolai was in the German Army.
Cheers,
Matt
