I am struggling with knowing where to look for information on magistrates records. I will explain - my dad was born in enniscorthy in 1932 and the family moved to Slaney St and then William St in Wexford Town The name of course would be Murphy. My dad was the youngest of 9 . The story goes he was sent away for 7 years for stealing he must have been 12 or 14 when that happened - there must be a record of that somewhere but who do I ask (we also heard the crime was damage on the railway station) all seems very harsh but I guess it reflects the times. My dad died 6 years ago and never spoke of it
