John,
No marriage for Catherine Booth(e)y anywhere on my index.
Found a match for James Goldby & Catherine :-

James   GOLDBY   of Harlestone, bachelor   Catherine   WALTON   otp, spinster   1831   23-May   Kingsthorpe C of E

Ringstead must be about 15 miles away from Kingsthorpe.
I have Kingsthorpe burials upto 1812, no Boothy entries from 1800-1812 either.
Northants Records Office have Ringstead Baptist registers from 1811, nothing before that date only C of E.

Sorry there is no sign of Catherine's baptism in Ringstead C of E but there was an entry in Kingsthorpe that matched.

Sorry she's not in the Finedon PR or any other Northants PR, I looked at Douglas/Douglass as well.

Northants Strays Marriages, Free download of Adobe files.

I've added two Adobe [PDF] files to my site today, over 8,250 marriages of people who were born in Northants but married elsewhere.  The two files are sorted by groom and bride.  I'm always on the lookout for additional entries so if you have any that aren't on the list then please let me know.

Hello Phil & Sandy,
Thanks, I've spoken with the military expert at NRO and he also thinks that it is the Derby Scheme,
just can't fit the 74/77 groups into the Scheme.
Alan

Hello Alan and Sandy,

You are right, the 74/77 Groups etc are not typos.

I had a quick look at the 1901 and 1911 index and can't see an Arthur Warrilow in Northants. They seem to be clustered around Stone, Staffs.

They must have some significance. It's a pity there are no qualifying remarks in the last column.

Thanks for the link, it does look like these group numbers maybe Derby scheme groups.  I have checked the two entries outside of this range of numbers to make sure that they are not typos.  I've copied the images below, perhaps they were entered in error on the Roll?

WW1 Roll Of Honour for the Borough Of Northampton
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Please see my new index, downloadable in separate Adobe files on my web pages at :-

http://www.northants-familytree.net/soldier%20index%20roll%20of%20honour.htm

Over 12,000 men from Northampton (including Far Cotton, Kingsthorpe & St. James) listed along with their regiment and rank.  I've copied below information from a slip of paper found within the Roll.

If you cannot open Adobe files and wish me to look up an entry for you then please send me a PM.

Alan

"This Roll of Honour was prepared in 1916 by a Sub Committee of the Finance Committee.  It contains the names of the men serving in the Great War at that time.  It is possible that a few names were added later, but it is not an accurate account of all men who served or who lost their lives in the Great War."

For correspondence relating to the Roll see file no. 593/1.
