Dear Sue,
Thank you for your extremely helpful response to our enquiry.
We had, up until now misleading information regarding the marriage but with the Parish and Church data from you we can continue our search.
Incidentally, should you come across anyone researching Urch in Kewstoke (Somerset), with the support of the local history society, we now hold a complete record of Urch families in the Parish.
Always happy to return research favours.
Many thanks,
Keith & Sue

Europe / POLAND: Kazimierz MISIUK - born Poland
« on: Thursday 08 May 08 16:24 BST (UK)  »
Hello Helpers,
A friend is desparate to discover anything about her grandparents especially given that both her and her brother know absolutely nothing.
Searching through family papers they have found the following:
Father was KAZIMIERZ MISIUK, born 12th June 1925 in Lodz, Poland - died April 2002 in Cheltenham aged 76 years.
KAZIMIERZ MISIUK married EUSTATHIA LIAKAKOU ( Greek origin I believe) - date not known.
They had two children, ANNA and PETRO.
KAZIMIERZ MISIUK believed to have escaped from Poland during early part of WWII and made his way across Europe to coast of France, later joining the British Forces.
Any information would be most welcome.
Many thanks Kand S

Hi Ruby

I have a Thomas 1786 but in Shropshire, the Vickers's then moved to Staffordshire about 1855-58. They settled in Bilston. I also have links with Yorkshire. I would be interested in finding out more about your tree as Bilston is not a million miles away from Wolverhampton & Wednesfield. Do you use Genes Reunited?

Look forward to hearing from you.
