89 with a son aged 37? thats stretching it a bit.
More likely to be 68 and 78.
Best bet is to find them in 1851 when the father should be alive, and go from there.

Yes mine did, I guess the Kings were trailblazers that created the demand. :)
The topography is very similar, both are flat fenland

I have SAXBYs that moved from Martin & Timberland to Morton (next to Dyke) don't know why but I do know how -
the new railway line!

I'm now inclined to think it's a dialect form of Osbournby too, as the road from Bourne to Dyke does eventually reach Osbournby.

Robin ... I know about Folkingham, but how should I pronounce Aslackby? ;)
The pronunciation of Folkingham depends on wether you are in polite company as locals will say fu........ham

Have just reread this thread, and of course the place opposite the pub was indeed "Rock House" - and it's pure speculation on my part that "Park House" might have been mistranscribed as such...

Yes I think you are stretching that one a bit.
Do you know who was living at Park house in 1881?
