There is another thread with some articles about the school which may be of interest. I just emailed the Masons to see if they can provide any info about my grandmother's time at the school. There doesn't seem to be much about it online after 1890 or so.

This snip names parent - hopefully correct Charlotte in the frame?
Fermanagh Times, 8 Jun 1911

Yes that's my gran. It seems she was called Charlotte quite a bit or always before she was married [didn't know that] but then changed to Louise. These are great thank you! Hadn't seen them other than the marriage record. It looks like it wasn't easy to get into the school!

Hi Shaun and eadaoin

I would appreciate lookups for my gran, Louise Nash [christened Charlotte Louise] b 1900.  She is in the 1911 census in Waterford with her mother Hannah Nash [widow]. Hannah and family went to live in Three Bridges sometime between then and 1921 but Louise went to Masonic Girl's School in Dublin so I gather she stayed in Ireland. She was said to be the first female bank teller in Dublin and in 1925 married William Layng in Kingstown Methodist church. The wedding cert showed her address as address 15 Adelaide Street, Kingstown. They then lived in Kiltiernan.

Any records for Louise between 1911 and 1925 in particular would be appreciated, thank you.

Any thoughts on lack of marriage record for James Surplus or Serplus and Mary  Stevenson?

There was a marriage in 1879 for a James Serplus and Mary *Magee* in 1879, both of Annaloist, his father Edward and hers John. Can't find any children just after 1979 with mother Magee and father Serplus or Surplus

Rachel Stevenson [m Nicholas McNally 1851] and Elizabeth Stevenson [m John Baxter 1853] both of Annaloist, also had fathers John Stevenson

"21 James Serplus / Mary  Stevenson
[can't find their wedding record -1911 census says they had been married for 31 years; a James Surplus of Annaloist, father Edward, m Mary Magee of Annaloist, father John 1879 in Lurgan]

- children Robert, Rose, Jane, Minnie, Mary, Sarah, James, Emma
[also had  children William 1882 and Margaret 1880]"

Hi thank you :)

I have posted elsewhere on here inc
https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=608585.msg7519849#msg7519849
but I have an ancestor Hans Campbell whose son Robert b abt 1836 m Eliza Jane Nelson 1858 Lisburn Registry office. When married Robert's address was Begny, both he and father labourers. Witnesses were Robert Campbell and Sarah Ervine.
I had thought his father was the Hans m Mary Bell 1835 Lisburn but his address was Glen Conway which seems to be in Glenavy, Co. Antrim, and he migrated to Canada before 1851.

I think my Hans is the first you posted ie 1818-1874. The other was said to be a bachelor when he died and would have been b about 1830 so maybe brother of my Robert.

There was also a John Campbell with father Hans m Jane Ervin nee Kerr 1868 Dromara, maybe another brother of Robert

I have gone off the theory of this Hans Campbell being  my ancestor as he seems to have come from GLENAVY in Co. Antrim whereas mine was from Co. Down

As Catherine McCorry was listed as occupant in the Griffiths Valuation, I assume she was a widow?

So she would not have been wife of the John Cassells d 1884?
