Thank you both for your replies.  The name Pratt does 'ring a bell'.  I do know that a Varney married into the Pratt family.  Will have to do some more research.

Many thanks
Carol

In the Bucks Herald 22 March 1862, there is an article:  Overturned cart. Nephew Varney injuries -recovery - almost hopeless.
Is someone, please, able to tell more? Hopefully the Nephews name.

Thanks

I have found a bap. for William Vickers 9 Nov 1828 Hardwick mother Hannah Vickers, there is also a burial for William 15th Nov 1828 age 0 at Hardwick. Does this entry show the mothers name in the Parish Register?

Thanks
Carol

Bucksboy,

A good move, I find a lot out on Family Search for free.
I hope in the summer to visit Hardwick cum Weedon and Aston Abbots just maybe find a grave or two.

Best wishes

Bucksboy

Thanks for that.  I am a member of Bucks FHS so will ask them to do a search for me, they will do 2 hours a year for members.

Hi

I have today come across a print out from Ancestry which I did way back in 2006. It gives Vickers from Whitechurch, Little Horwood, Oving, Stewkley, Drayton Parslow leading down to Vickers of Aston Abbots and Hardwick. If this is the same family who eventually lived in Aston Abbots and Hardwick, who knows?  I shall have plenty of sorting through this lot.
I thank you for your information.
Best wishes and thanks again.
