harry hugh griffiths died on 23rd december 1960
court case for alice bigamy was reported in lincolnshire echo on 8th november 1944 but she married harry in september 1942....newspaper says she was housekeeper and married harry to be a mother to his 2 children.
The trial was at the Lincolnshire Assizes

I know there was a family feud between alice and harrys family...he had been married before and has 5 children..apparently they didnt approve of alice

This one has me stumped...alice s johnson bigamously married harry griffiths in 1942 and was sent to prison for 3 months but looks like she then went back to live with him but used her former name...would the marriage have been annuled. Also , harry griffith died at 10 weelsby street in 1960 and the informant on death certificate was mabel o whitlam who was living there along with alice (harrys wife), so why wasnt alice the informant.I cant find a connection between alice and mabel whitlam although iut appears she had lived with alice and harry griffiths in 1957
