Glamorganshire Lookup Requests / Re: John D or John Augden Humphrey
« on: Saturday 07 October 06 01:08 BST (UK)  »
Thank you for your response to my request.  I have, subsequently, been sent information that the John Humphrey I'm looking for was born in Pennsylvania.  His parents were born in Wales.  I don't have their names yet and don't expect to have them any time soon.  I apologize for wasting your time.  Thanks again.

Thank you for your efforts.  I do appreciate them.  Unfortunately I got some of the facts? wrong and have since received the corrections.  His parents were born in Wales but he was born in Pennsylvania.  So the hunt continues.  I guess it comes down to road trips at this point.  I don't think I'm going to be able to do much more via computer.  Thanks again.

Nancy

Merionethshire / John D or John Augden Humphrey.

I am trying to locate any information on John D or John Augden Humphrey.  His estimated date of birth is 1872 in Wales.  That is the only information I have.  A possible birthplace is Llanddwywe Uwch Graig, Merionethshire, Wales.  As far as I know for sure, he must have been in the US in 1914 as he had a daughter born in Oregon in 1914.  Any information would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

I received the information I requested in good order and in more than a timely manner.  I figured I'd have to wait for days and it was only hours.  Not only were you both fast but you were accurate.  I'm very please.  Thank you so much!

Lincolnshire Lookup Requests / CHEFFINGS - Sloothby?
« on: Thursday 28 September 06 07:35 BST (UK)  »
My name is Nancy A. Cheffings and I'm looking for my husband's family.  I was told they came from Lincolnshire, possibly from the town of Sloothby, about 1850.  The names I'm looking for are George Cheffings, born 1823 and his son Charles born 1862.  I have absolutely no other information that I can verify.  George was supposed to be married to Mary A, born 1846 in New Zealand.  Charles was married, apparently after he came to the US.  Can anyone help, please?

I, quite literally, stumbled across it earlier today.  Now if I could find my way into RootsChatter, I'd be happy.  I have a lot of questions. ???
