I just recently received an e-mail from someone in Kilkelly. The information states that my great great grandfather was Michael Henry born February 28, 1856. His father was Henry Henry (Henery) and mother was Maria Duffy.
My great great grandmother was Maria Ruane and she had the following siblings: Catherine (1841), Thomas (1848), Joanne (1854), Patrick (1855), Michael (1856), Ann (1859), and Patrick (1861).
Apparently, Maria Ruane was born to Michael Ruane and a Kate Kearns. I need to find out if all of this fits into my tree. What is the best way to verify all of this???

Thank you for the reply. I already knew all of that I was just wondering if there was a web site like EastMayo.org. I have found everyone on that site.
I have no idea when they got married but I would think that it would have been in her parish which now would be Roscommon.

These are my great great grandparents. Patrick Byrnes was from Orlar, Kilkelly Co. Mayo. Mary Nolan was from Balladerheen which was in Mayo and then later boarders changed and it became part of Roscommon.
I am wondering where the best place would be to look for a record of their marriage. I need to verify the information that I have already

I think you misunderstood my post. Thomas Ruane and Maria Ruane appear to be brother and sister as do Michael Henry and Bridget Henry. They are brothers and sisters that got married on the same day. Maria married Michael and Thomas married Bridget. I am trying to veryify that this is the case which would mean that Michael and Maria are my great great grandparents and Thomas and Bridget are my great great grand aunt and uncle.

December 29, 1874 is the date that Michael Henry (Orlar) married Maria Ruane (Carabeg).
I also have a Thomas Ruane married to a Bridget Henry on the same date and they were from the same places. I am suspecting that Michael and Maria are my great great grandparents. How do I best go about verifying this information that I got from East Mayo. org

Thank you so much for the information. I think the people you sited might be my great great grandparents. My grandmother was Bridget McLoughlin (b. 1916). Her Father was Michael McLoughlin and Mother was Mary Duffy, my father remembers his grandfather but only from before the age of 10. My grandmother had a sister Mary who left Ireland and went to PA. She died before I was born so I don't know much about her but your connection to PA could explain why she went there when most of my other relatives came to RI and MA.

After some searching I have found that my great-great-grandmother was Mary Nolan from Ballaghaderreen. This would have been before the town became a part of Roscommon. I can not find a record of their marriage at all wondering if anyone knows where I could find this information. Their first child was born in 1890. This is all the information I have so far and any help would be greatly appreciated.
