Hi Christine,

I'm glad the information was of use to you,
my Great Great Grandfather was Ann's brother Thomas Burnham, and he was born in Chiselhampton on the 11th January 1838, and  baptised in St Katherine Church on the 11th February 1838, he died in Garsington nr Oxford, on the 11th December 1905, and was buried on the 16th December in St Mary Church, Garsington.
He married on the 12th October 1858 in St Mary's Garsington to Ann Dowman, who was born in Garsington in 1931, and she died in Garsington on the 29th September 1890, being buried on the 2nd October.

Their children who were all born in Garsington was as follows,
Emily Burnham, born 1859, died 1933,
Sarah Ann Burnham, born 1861, died 1862,
Sophia Burnham, born 1863, died 1951,
Alfred Burnham, born 1865, died 1940,
Jesse Henry Burnham, born 1868, died 1949, he was my great grandfather,
Thomas Burnham, born 1871, died 1884,
Arthur Burnham, born 1873, died 1940,
Elizabeth Burnham, born 1877, died unknown

Ann Dowman also had an illegitimate son called Alfred Dowman who was born in 1854 in Garsington, and he died the same year.

My Great Grandfather Jesse Henry Burnham was born on the 25th Feb 1868, in Garsington and married Sarah Yeates, born 7th Dec 1873, also in Garsington, at St Mary's Church on the 6th June 1895, they had 4 children together, and Sarah had a illegitimate daughter called Ethel Yeates, born on the 28th November 1891.
Jesse Henry died on the 6th January 1949 in Garsington, and was buried on the 16th Jan,
his wife Sarah died on the 16th March 1930, in the Wingfield Hospital oxford and was buried 20th March, in garsington.

Please let me know if you would like more information on this line,

Edmund thomas, born 1874,
George born 1875,
Lydia born 1876,
Arthur William born 1879,
Percival born 1884,

Hello,

I am trying to find information about a Sarah Burnham, supposedly born around 1800 in exeter.
she was married in Warbrough Oxon in 1826, and in the 1851 census she was aged 50, from exeter, and in the 1861 she was 62 and born in exeter, the 1871 census aged 69, place of birth unknown.
she died in Clifton Hampton Oxon, in 1872, aged 72.
possibly her father was a man called Thomas Burnham.

Many thanks.

hello,

Ann Burnham was my 3rd greatgrand father's daughter and she was baptised in chiselhampton on the 30th of november 1834, at st katherine church.

Her father John Burnham was baptised on the 8/5/1803 at St John the Baptist church Stadhampton, and he died 28/6/1879, in Chiselhampton.
His wife was Elizabeth Cox, born in Stanton Harcourt, Oxon, and was baptised 19/4/1807, she died 14/12/1881, in chiselhampton.
They was married on 31/12/1827 at the Church of St Thomas of Canterbury, Elsfield, Oxford.

I have also found an Ann Burnham from Chiselhampton in the 1851 census, aged 20, a house servant, working for Jeremiah Ashwell, a farmer, at Northall Road, Billington, Leighton Buzzard.

hope this is of help.
regards Barry.
