Hello - My husband is distantly related to the de Witts via Carel Blad de Witt who married Helena Jane Gardner[/b] and had two children named Ferdinand and Carel Archibald de Witt.  I wonder if you are still interested as I would be very pleased to be in contact with you.  Hoping to hear from you. Wendy Sutherland.
Our link is with Helena Jane Gardner (nicknamed Lena), daughter of Archibald Gardner.

Are you sure it isn't short for 'Consecrated' - commonly used words - burial is on 'consecrated ground'.  Just a suggestion.

Have a look at www.findagrave.com.  I have put gravestone inscriptions on  - the ones I could read.  Just do a search for name in England and see if anything comes up.

Have a look at www.findagrave.com.  Kildwick and Silsden burials are on there - I put them on as best I could so must be checked out.  Alot of people who lived in Cowling were buried at Kildwick or Silsden.
