Are you researching the Puddingtons still?

2
Hi
Do you still need help-I was looking up Merediths in London as I am related to the family way back in the 1700's in London.
I tend to track back to find connections to earlier relatives.
Found Victoria's birth record.
Living on Daggits Court, St Leonard's Shoreditch-birth 27 Feb 1837 parents William-Victualler and Eliza, baptism 30 June 1837.
Let me know if you want me to look up the others.

Hi
Hannah Puddington was my 2nd great grandmother. Tricky family to track at times but lots on my ancestry tree.
Some of the Puddingtons were witnesses in Witch Hunt trials!

Also note there is a Levi born Malborough in Wilts, near to the same area on LDS.
Lot's to cross reference!
Also Bath reference may be a clue as to where the family were living before Wookey.

Hi
That is fantastic-makes sense.
I had Sarah Lockyear marrying Levi who changes to Robert after Grace's death-definitely same guy as Charles, my line, is with Levi in 1841. Charles has father as Robert on his marriage cert to Jane Bryne.
With Sarah- Levi had Frederick William and then Ellen Elizabeth.
Frederick William died in 1850 I believe. My Charles names his daughter Ellen-my grt grt gran.  The Voyseys end up in Canada and then the states. Mine went to London but I'm in NZ now.  Roamed far from home.
I had no idea about his father so having the reference to it being another Levi is great-another generation.  His birth date changes but stays around 1790's to 1805. Also the Levi marriage to Martha sounds good-not many Levi's I would imagine.
Thanks so much for your help.
Managed to find a marriage reference for Grace and Levi that names witnesses as George and Ann Cook. Think George now named for Grace's side.

Hi
I have Levi/Robert Voisey married Grace Cook in 1827 in Wookey.
Not been able to find any reference to the pair of them prior to that date.

Levi or Robert Voysey or Voisey was born sometime between 1799-1809 as the census dates keep fluctuation.
Grace Cook was born about the same period.
I suspect St Matthews would be baptism place.
Any other Voyseys born about the time in that place would be helpful.
Family names include George, Thomas, Charles, John, Ellen, Robert, Alice, Frederick
Levi/Robert's eldest was a George-suspect George may be a father or brother of Levi/Robert.
Any help gratefully received

Hi
Thanks for your kind help.
29th Jan 1901 is the death I have for Elizabeth Shaw/Lees.
What I have is that she died from burns to the body. Gran knows nothing about it.
Robert Lees was born 1855 in Bo'ness-a tailor and died 1937. He was not with the family in 1901 census but out of prison by then but was in an edinburgh prison-found him in 1891.
Please don't go to any trouble on my behalf.
Very kind of you.
I was trying to pin down where they might be buried.
Late here so off to my bed.
Thanks for your efforts.
Will try to join West Lothian in the next month to help research.

Hi
I'm looking for monument inscriptions for the Reid, Lees, Morrison and Shaw families in Bathgate Cemetery-I live in NZ so can't get to see myself-anyone have access to this info or know where I can get it from?
From 1850-1998
Elizabeth Shaw/Lees died 1900/01
Robert John Lees 1953
James Reids
Alexander Reids
Any other Lees
Archibald.

Anyone know how to obtain news reports related to inquests on deaths?
Bathgate 1901ish-Elizabeth Shaw/Morrison died in suspicious circumstances involving burns.
Also Prison records-anyone know how to find out out people in Edinburgh jail in 1891?
Stuck at the moment.
Thanks

Thanks

Completed Census Requests / Re: 1901/1891 Census London? Sherring/Skerring Please
« on: Thursday 31 August 06 12:55 BST (UK)  »
Hi
There is a lady researching Caleb Sherring's family on GenesReunited-she was a direct relative and had him confused with my Caleb Sherrin of Twickenham for a while.
If you would like me to contact her on your behalf I could.
