I have a Halliday in my tree from Gloucester. Her name was Eliza Halliday and she married Alfred Frederick Smart in Stroud July-Sept 1878 and Eliza was born c1855. Does this ring any bells?

Thanks for the info, its great. So it seems someone had smallpox, many died of this didnt they. The only family member that was in the pesthouse and missing from the family home in 1901 wouldve been 17 but thats old enough to marry isnt it. Maybe no-one died thankfully. Sorry im talking aloud, it makes it easier to concentrate lol.
thanks again for then info  :D

Hi
I have recently found ancestors living at Water Lane in the hamlet of Bisley in 1891, this was a pest house. Does anyone have any info on this particular pest house? Also, would I be able to find out which family member had a disease and what the disease was?
Thanks in advance
