Hiya,Yes it is locked but I can get the key from Lynn at the Cemetery Records Office.Big restoration project going on to the Tower.Scaffolding everywhere but it is a worthy cause;Great history surrounding the place...apparently the Jacobites used it to store explosives during the uprising of the 1700's...and,er,blew it up!!It's been patched up since then but, like I said,it's being worked on again. The area used to be packed with tiny one storey houses and winding cobbled street until at least the 1950's....according to my good friend Joan who attended school at St Modans RC not far from there.
Anyway,I'll head down to St.Ninians (or St.Ringans as it was known in the distant past) and seek out your relatives for you...Any excuse to trawl around a super wee churchyard...ancient headstones and bats in the belfry! You would love it!
Speak to you soon,Aw Ra Best,J
