Yes japeflakes works fine for me, if people get parsing problems just open the image in Paint and save it, it will work in Photoshop fine then.

Did a quick search and came up with these dates and these addresses "Katterns - Northampton  1864-1894"

EDIT:
J. Katterns, 14 Marefair, Northampton and late of No. 7 Gold Street

Someone with more resources may find more info.

Here is a very quick one.

Got a pic of Tom Cruise then created a new layer containing the said pic
then rotated and scaled it to match closley with the pic of the bish
created a layer mask and painted black onto the parts I didn't want and
here is the finished pic. :)

I am terrible at writing a guide :( but I am posting the .psd file for anyone that wants to play
with it and see what I have done for themselves.

Sounds good but maybe not on this part of the forum, it will soon get very cluttered on here.

It would be a good idea to have a "Child Board" coming off "Photograph Restoration & Dating. Conservation" this is one way of keeping things seperate and also make things easier for us all.

Maybe the "Child Board" could be called "Tutorials/Tips/Advice", it would be much better than having loads of 'Stickies' at the top of this section of the board with loads of links in it.

Good idea Mike. :)
