Truly this thread is amazing with all the books mentioned and other links excellent...And this time of year you can put a book on your Christmas list..and maybe friends/family members can group together with the costs, knowing that you will be getting one very special present.

Wishing all members who are researching their 'Roots' Seasons Greetings from Summers house to yours. :)

Each time I read through the details of my Grandmother and the family members also listed above , my eyes fill up with tears..as I was very young when my Grandmother Elizabeth died, and I only have the one very treasured photograph...Researching 'Family History' is truly so very rewarding..so if any Newbie members read this message..I say start now and never, ever give up seeking your 'Roots'.. blessings Summers

My late father served in the RAMC during WW2 Stanley Ford Pte,  I have a few photographs but do not have all the names of those shown.

The main problem is that the  photos are in Bitmap format so can anyone give advice how I can change them to JPeg, and a more suitable size so I can post them in this thread.....thank you Summers

Now as I am recently  retired, I can restart my family research.   May I take this opportunity  to pass on a trillion blessings to those who helped me find my way in the early days.

Its one long 'Adventure' when you start seeking your 'Family Roots'. Yes  the roads may have many twists and turns..but the end rewards are truly worth it as you find out 'Just Who You Are'

Sincere 'Thank You' Summers :)
