I have found a notice that was on trove in the leader on the 7th September 1918 that mentions Donald's father Angus & the Isle of tyree.  I'm not sure how to add the link though

All I know about Donald is he was born in 1840 & passed away in 1923.  He married Alice Roberts Hardman in 1858 at St Luke’s in Emerald Hill (which is now South Melbourne). They had several children one who is my great grandfather Angus Edgar Kennedy. I have a photo here from there diamond wedding anniversary and also the newspaper article mentioning that he is the son of Angus Kennedy from the Isle of Tyree

Yes I’ve discovered that Donald ennedy married Alice Roberts hardman here in Australia.  It was in there diamond wedding notice in the paper that I saw Donald’s father was Angus from the Isle of Tyree.  We have had an extremely hard time trying to find anything on the Kennedy side after this

Hi Cando,

Thank you so very much for all the information you have been able to give me,  I know my mother in law is happy as she really didn't know a lot about her father or his family so this is great,   thank you very much
