Hello!  Sorry I haven't been online for a while - I just got your post!

Of course the offer is still open, as long as you can wait a bit - I have to do it on a free Friday afternoon/weekend and this weekend is already booked up :)

I've been dying to go to Zwolle for a long time now, so this is a perfect excuse!

I'll keep in touch with you!

Renée

Census Lookup and Resource Requests / Re: William J Williams Lookup Please?

Well, I'm pretty sure they married in 1885 in the US;  could be Maryland, Kentucky, Illinois or Pennsylvania.  It was a shot in the dark really, but I'm stuck at finding out where he actually came from.

I know for sure he was born in August 1861, emmigrated to the US (according to records) in 1880 and their first child was born around 1886.

Thanks again Ricky.  Much apprciated!

Could someone please fix Yolanda up a bit?

This is for my partner, who's working on his tree as well.  His sister Yolanda died when she was only 13 mos old  :(  Apparently this is the ONLY photo of her that anyone knows of.

Much appreciated!  I'm so in awe of all the fantastic work that you guys do in here!

Census Lookup and Resource Requests / William J Williams Lookup Please?
« on: Thursday 10 August 06 18:52 BST (UK)  »
Hello

I may have found my g-g-grandfather, but I can't access all the info.

Can anyone help me?  I'm especially interested if this WJ Williams married Annie (surname unknown) who was born in Maryland.

Appreciate all the help I can get - I've hit a wall with him, but MAYBE this is the one!!

Name:  William John Williams

Birth:  year - city Breconshire Wales
Death:  dd mm 1885 - city Lyons Kansas USA
Parents:  Evan J Williams, Evan J surname
Spouse:  name surname

this is from ancestry.co.uk from a oneworld tree.  I can't sign up even for the free trial, because my credit card won't get approved (financial probs at the mo').

Looking forward to any info!

Kind Regards,
Renée

The Common Room / Re: Churches?
« on: Wednesday 09 August 06 09:45 BST (UK)  »
many thanks suttontrust, Bill & behindthefrogs!

She was in the US at the time so I guess a Parish directory won't be much help.

Silly, but I *just* googled "church" + "allegheny" + "1941" and got some handy links!

Kind Regards,
Renée
