hi
I carried on checking for you.
I found a Tyn rhos in the correct area on the Old map through Genuki /Llanddewi Brefi. it also tell you about the township of Gogoyan.
The old map showed TynRhos was Left over the bridge of Gogoyan and then first right up a hill. the turning is before the farm of Gogoyan
Hope this may be of help.
keep searching from Aletan

hi
Gogoian on the Ordnance Survey map Landranger 146 Lampeter & Llandovery is spelt Gogoyan.
This turning is approximately 1 mile out of Llanddewi Brefi towards Llanfair Clydogau on the B4343 to Lampeter. (turning west towards the A485) The bridge over the river Teifi is called Pont Gogoyan.
Uchaf in English means upper or Higher.
Hope this will help you

HI Osprey
just a update
I did what you surgested and ordered the marriage certificate for Robert Moreton.
From this I have decided it is  the same person as he is a farm labourer. same as the birth certificate I have.
From there I have found a death in 1974 still in Camarthenshire.
I am carrying on with my research - a marriage for him and Mary Anne Hicks.
I thank you for all your help
Happy New Year to all

Thank you for the information.
I at a loss what to do.
I now just wondering if they ever got married as the mother has not given a married name on the certificate just her maiden name.
thank you again

Good evening everyone.
Thank you very much for all your replies.
I think that, it is the correct Ruth. As Ruth Married George and will be  on the 1901 census but I check the 1891 census and she not with him he is at home with Mum and Dad.
So I presume she married between 1891 and 1901.
I know for a fact that she died in 1910. Leaving 2 children and she is buried with George and his second wife in Pateley, I have a photo of the grave a family member sent. But no one ever told us where she came from.
I drew a blank with the name and could not make head nor tail at all.
So I thank you all for the replies and the website. I off to do some more research.
I should say this is my great grand mother.
Thank you
From Alex (Aletan)
